Photo of the Week — 9.28.09

This month’s last photo of the week was taken by James Balog, our photographer of the month and member of the iLCP.

The photo is of a rapidly retreating glacier, Glacier de Bionnassay, located on the western side of Mont Blanc.

Balog will be one of the many premier photographers presenting during the WILD9 plenary presentation and also participating in the many events planned by the iLCP for WILD9 (WiLDSpeak). WILD9, the 9th World Wilderness Congress, will convene from 6-13 November, Merida Mexico.
