Social Media Coverage of WILD9: The Details!

October 26,2009 by Emily Loose

WILD9As each passing day brings us even closer to the start of WILD9, we’d like to take this opportunity to let everyone know about the groundbreaking social media tools that will be featured during the Congress. While we have mentioned these tools in a previous post, it’s time to explain each one in greater detail, as these elements will help transcend WILD9 by allowing everyone in the world to stay “in the loop.”

Get Excited! Stay Connected!

First, you can visit www.wild9.org at anytime to see up-to-date information of what’s currently happening at the Congress. This page will have video, photos, daily schedules, live blogs, and (of course) live tweets.

Next, you can watch key lectures and sessions live on our USTREAM channel. Whether it’s the Opening Ceremony, or keynote speeches by the likes of Dr. Jane Goodall, be sure to RSVP now and catch all the action!

Also, a WILD9 channel has been established on Qik, which will allow everyone to see live-streaming content from our WILDyouth delegates’ mobile phones To quickly see everyone who is streaming from the Congress, you can always check out our Qik Page.

Be sure to keep your eyes on our Flickr photostream, as we will be uploading images from the Congress as they become available.

Lastly, and for all you tweeters, stay up-to-date by following the tweets of both @WILD9 and @WILDfoundation. There will be plenty of live tweeting of the events, so feel free to start following ASAP!

We hope you join us on all of these various channels, as we are all excited for the start of this wonderful event!

And don’t forget: use the hashtag #wild9 for any of your WILD9 content!!!
