WILD at TedxBoulder
Tomorrow is a very exciting day here in Boulder. The first TEDxBoulder kicks off at 4pm, with a great list of speakers on environment, technology, politics, energy, science and more. In the spirit of TED (ideas worth spreading), TEDx is a local, self-organized event. Perhaps I’m biased, but I think that TEDxBoulder is going to be the best TEDx ever!
WILD will be at TEDx, along with a select few other cool, local nonprofits and social businesses. We’ll have a table right outside of Chautauqua auditorium, so if you plan to be at TEDx please stop by and say hi! WILD’s President Vance Martin and I will be there to talk with participants about why wild-nature is vitally important and why we need to protect at least half of the planet. TED is all about ideas worth spreading, and we think Nature Needs Half is one….so stop by to learn more and help us spread this vision.
A bit more about TED:
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani,Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
