This cleansing ceremony by Mayan Shamans welcomed delegates and opened WILD9, the 9th World Wilderness Congress (Merida, Mexico) on 6 November 2009. This ceremony was one of many cultural parts of the WILD9 program and an important part of the program to introduce delegates to and celebrate regional traditions.
