Ernesto Enkerlin, President of the National Commission on Natural Protected Areas of Mexico and winner of the 2009 Kenton Miller Award for Innovation in Protected Areas Sustainability (awarded at WILD9), spoke during the Saturday (7 November) WILD9 plenary session on global wilderness commitments. He represented The Honorable Juan Elvira, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources (Mexico), speaking on international cooperation for wilderness between Canada, Mexico and the United States.
