WILDYouth @ Wild9

WILD9, the 9th World Wilderness Congress will convene from 6-13 November 2009.  Youth are invited to attend a Media Training Day on 5 November.

The WILD Foundation and collaborating partners are planning unique and life-changing opportunities for teens and young professionals at WILD9. That means YOU can be a part of this globally important gathering.   This is a once in a life-time opportunity to mingle with the world’s leading wilderness advocates, gather knowledge on wilderness issues,  participate in specialized sessions to build your skills as a leader and enjoy local cultural, natural and historical experiences.   Visit the WILD9 website to learn more >>

WILDyouth @ WILD9 is a special opportnity for youth (ages 13-17) to participate in and learn about wilderness conservation.   During WILD9, youth will particpate in Congress sessions, cultural outings, service learning opportunties and focused activities specifically for youth.  The trip is co-organized with a local trip leader and WILD Foundation representative.  For more information on WILDyouth @ WILD9 please contact Kat Haber (kathaber at aol.com).

The WILD9 – Youth Program is organized by day, in 3 segments, mirroring the theme/tagline of the Congress “Think, Feel, Act;” Nov 5-8 will be “Think” days; Nov 9-10 will be “Feel” days; Nov 11-3 will be “Act” days.
